The WSUA has four main mandates:
1. Provide an inclusive social network of Women’s Studies students
2. Create a space for intellectual and respectful debate on current issues
3. Provide feedback on departmental issues
4. Disseminate information on feminist and women-centred activism and events
The WSUA is primarily concerned with coming together in a way that is healthy, respectful and fun. Anyone who gets involved with the association does so on the basis that we exist as a woman and feminist positive space. The WSUA is also primarily concerned with making all our events and activities as inclusive as possible. We hold the strong belief that all members can be involved in all WSUA activities should they choose to be. As such, overcoming barriers such as childcare, transportation, physical accessibility and lack of finances (among other barriers) will be a top priority in all of our events. Overcoming these barriers will require volunteers at every WSUA event, as such, the WSUA requests that all official members participate in some volunteer service throughout the year.
